I'm a systems engineer who lives on the seam between hardware and cloud. On any given week I'm tracing MOV-induced ADC noise on a Tesla UMC, hardening Fedora with TPM2 and FIDO2, writing Lambda functions to bridge the Tesla Fleet API into Home Assistant, or modelling battery arbitrage against an Octopus Intelligent Go tariff. Based in Kettering, Northamptonshire; rooted in Bulgaria.

I work end-to-end down a stack most people slice in half. PCB-level diagnostics on one end, AWS SAM templates on the other, ESPHome and ZHA in the middle. The throughline isn't the domain — it's the habit of asking how could this go wrong, and what's the underlying mechanism? before asking will it work?

A lot of what I build is for me: a self-hosted Home Assistant running my own automations, my own mail server, my own Fleet API token stack on AWS instead of relying on Nabu Casa, a Pi 5 + Hailo-10H watching the sky over my land. Sovereignty over my own infrastructure is a baseline preference, not a hobby — and security isn't a bolt-on, it's the same engineering rigour applied to my threat model that I apply to circuits and code.

I'm Bulgarian-connected in a real way — not just heritage on paper. I read Bulgarian-language LLMs, I draft formal Bulgarian correspondence when it matters, and Мартин Тонев Ламбев isn't an affectation.

When I'm not in a terminal: I fish, often with my son.
